The 2018 Portland Music Video Festival
When and where is the festival?
The 2018 Portland Music Video Festival will be held in the historic Hollywood Theater in Portland Oregon on March 7th, 2018.

Is this a new festival?
The Portland Music Video Festival has taken place annually since 2012.
Who’s behind this thing?
The festival was founded by Dustin Morrow, a filmmaker, author and professor in the Department of Theatre at Portland State University; and Kat Audick, a director and production designer based out of Portland.
When will I be notified if my submission was accepted to the showcase?
Notifications of acceptances and declines will be sent out shortly after our submission process closes.
Can I get free tickets to the festival if my video is selected for inclusion?
Absolutely! Accepted filmmakers will get into all festival events at no charge.
Will the festival pay for, or supplement my trip to Portland to attend the festival?
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any financial assistance to filmmakers or artists that wish to travel to Portland for the festival at this time.
How do I submit my video?
Submissions are now being accepted through FILM FREEWAY. Visit their site today to submit!
How many videos can I submit?
As many as you like, but each video must be submitted individually, with its own submission form.
My video has explicit content, can I submit it anyway?
Yes, we will accept videos that include nudity, profanity, or suggested violence, but be aware that any material that may be construed as excessively offensive may negatively impact your video’s chance for inclusion in the festival. It’s your call.
Can my music video include dialogue or non-music sound?
Yes, but it should be clear that it’s a music video. The song should be featured prominently. We are not interested in musical short films, with extensive dialogue or traditional instrumental scores.
